IF you should be lucky enough to live in the motorcycle heaven of Jerez, you may have been lucky enough to catch the Motor Cycle News team testing the newest superbikes.
They took the latest and greatest 2015 monsters to Jerez for an intensive, two-day track test, then rode the beautiful roads of southern Spain before continuing with speed and dyno testing.
Being put through their paces were the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP, Suzuki GSX-R1000, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R ABS, BMW S1000RR Sport, Ducati 1299 Panigale S, and the Yamaha YZF-R1. However the Aprilia RSV4 and MV Agusta F4, were conspicuous by their absence as the manufacturers declined to take part.
Throwing these machines through the bends, although being great fun, is an essential part of testing.
The sad fact that only five per cent of owners of these bikes will be able to unleash the full anger of the beast on the road, means the choice between them comes down to which one makes life between the twisters the most bearable.
