Beans means Benitachell festival

THE third Festival of the Bean was held in Benitachell on Saturday April 25 and 26.

In conjunction with many restaurants and associations, the Festival celebrates two of Benitachell’s most special products, fava beans and local wines.

Beans featured in various dishes in classic and more contemporary recipes prepared by local restaurants and individuals, and on Sunday there was a wine tasting event involving varieties of local grapes, with comedian Eugene German adding humour to the afternoon.
An award ceremony saw several of the featured wines receiving distinction along with enthusiastic applause.
