THE May Day bank holiday traffic operation is underway.According to the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) in the province of Valencia an estimated 1,150,000 vehicles are expected to be on the roads from today (Thursday April 30) with around 900,000 in Alicante province and in the province of Castellon around 300,000.As a result of the extra expected traffic, the DGT has launched a series of regulatory measures, traffic management and monitoring as part of ‘Special Operation 1 May 2015.’The operation will take place in the region from lunchtime today until midnight Sunday May 3.
