TWENTY-TWO people travelling on board a dinghy were rescued on Thursday morning off the coast of Motril and taken to the town’s port.
The ship departed from Morocco at around 5am and was spotted by a witness who alerted the Salvamento Maritimo (Spanish sea search and rescue services).
The migrants were found at around 7am and taken to the Motril Port. One of them was taken by Red Cross to the hospital to receive medical treatment.
