Manchester United is plotting a summer move for Gareth Bale, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The story that has been running all season reference Gareth Bale’s possible move to United, has escalated as the Welshman’s performances have worsened of late.
It’s been a challenging second season for Bale at Real Madrid. Having won the hearts of the fans with goals in both the Copa del Rey Final and Champions League final, he was deemed an outright success in his first year in Spain.
But the ‘superstar’ period is decidedly over for Bale, as his performance leaves a lot to be desired at this season, looking increasingly ill at ease with his surroundings.
The Telegraph claim that Louis van Gaal will be supplied with 100m pounds to attract Bale back to Britian, but getting the desired result could involve more than Bale just saying ‘Yes’. As a signing of Florentino Perez, its unlikely that the Madrid President will let his star leave so easily.
