Inquest begins on Gibraltar deaths

Royal Gibraltar Police

THE INQUEST regarding the death of a family in Gibraltar where John Joseph Shannon, his partner Anarda Perez Friman, and her two children were found dead on March 30, opened this week in Ruthin, North Wales.
According to the Liverpool Echo, coroner John Gittins’ initial report said, “The wife of Mr Shannon had taken action against him and the children then took her own life.”
He also said that the body of Mr Shannon had been returned to Liverpool, where he was born, for burial. A post mortem previously carried out in Gibraltar indicated the cause of death was a wound to the neck.
The inquest was adjourned until a later date.
