A NEW, four-star hotel is to be constructed at the El Tesorillo beach in Almuñecar. The 70-room hotel will have the title ‘Superior,’ which will allow the establishment to target tourists with medium-to-high spending power, expected to come from northern European countries during the winter season.“The new hotel will represent an asset against tourism seasonality,” said mayor of the town, Trinidad Herrera. The company in charge, Explotaciones Hoteleras Nazaries, will spend around €4 million on the project, which is expected to create between 55 and 60 new jobs and is planned to be completed in a period of two to three years. The hotel has been designed to be fully integrated with the area slop, making it possible for practically all rooms of the future hotel to have a sea-view.The building itself will be a total of 3,350 square metres, set in a land plot of 2,500 square metres, and it is expected to have several suites with independent living rooms, a rooftop pool, spa and 42 parking spaces.
