AS the council was carrying out road improvements to the Selva-Moscari-Campanet road, workers were surprised to find ancient relics dating back 2,500 years.Joan Rotger, vice president of the council, president of the Commission of Artistic Heritage, and mayor of Selva, said that this was an “extraordinary” find, and was considering the promotion of the cultural find. The road was being dug up to get rid of the built points that serve no purpose and are dangerous. The mayor said that, according to archaeological sources, these remains would be Punic crafts made in Ibiza and Mallorca exported more than 21 centuries ago, and could indicate one of the oldest communication routes on the island.
