Prosecution demands 17 years for alleged killer

THE prosecution lawyer in a case against a man who is alleged to have killed his roommate by stabbing him to death on June 22, 2013, in the Mallorcan town of Porto Cristo is demanding a 17-year sentence.
He is accused by the prosecution of causing death by inflicting a 13-centimetre, fatal wound to his roommate while he slept off a concoction of drugs and alcohol. The prosecution are attempting to prove a crime of murder with premeditation.
The accused, Joseph AL, who has been in custody since then, will be judged by jury between Monday and Wednesday this week (May 11 – 13).
