FIVE men who tried to stop a pregnant woman being evicted in Malaga City and ended up throwing stones at the police have been given one-year jail sentences.The sentences also included fines ranging from €6 per day for a month for the two men guilty of throwing stones at officers to the same amount per day for 12 months for the other three, who chose to throw their stones at police vehicles instead.While €480 in damages were awarded to four officers injured during the altercation, a total of €3,570 was awarded to the National Police force and another €1,282 to Allianz insurance company for the damage caused to the vehicles.
