A CASE accusing the mayor and a councillor of Alhaurin de la Torre of embezzlement has been closed by the Supreme Court.“There is no proof that Mayor Joaquin Vilanove Rueda or Festivities councillor Isabel Fraile have embezzled or misused public funds,” the high court declared after studying the case, in which the two had been accused of awarding the contract for a fairground caseta in exchange for drinks vouchers worth €3,600.
