PROJECT: Could have been more lengthy if I had done it on my own.
WHENEVER the conversation of building your own home here in Spain comes up, somebody always has a nightmare story to tell you. But I’m singing from a different hymn sheet. With the help of Sigaproyect, my house build ran like clockwork.I took on a large derelict Moors house to refurbish in a small village in Almeria, Spain, called Susli. Due to the fact that the tiny streets were only accessible on foot or by donkey, I realised there may be some problems on the horizon. That’s when I decided to employ a reputable local builder and a qualified project manager. Not least because the very close neighbours were voicing their concerns as to the impact this project may have on their lives.I needn’t have worried, Escarlata, (the manager,) and the Sigproyect team were wonderful. They eased everybody’s concerns and set to work executing all the build stages with real expertise and in a truly professional manner. All dealings with the local mayor and town council were handled efficiently and diplomatically with great results. Even after the project changed from one single house, into three individual terraced homes. Now with one of the houses already finished, I am looking forward to the completion of the other two which are at second fix stage. The project could have been far more difficult and lengthy if I had done it on my own. Even the tiniest of problems could have held up the build for ages. Escarlata and Siga-proyect have made my project far easier than it could have been.If you have a project of any size coming up then you need this team, or at least, whoever you employ needs to be modelled on this one.Call 615 426 689.
