OVER 500 illegal hunting traps have been seized in the Valencia Region.The Department of Environment has collaborated with the team for the Environment Unit of the National Police leading to 505 illegal hunting traps being seized. Amongst these were 306 devices for catching rabbits, along with traps for partridges.Illegal fishing nets were also seized which were being used to catch wild birds. Their use and trade is prohibited by the law on Natural Heritage and Biodiversity if you do not have a special authorisation.
