TWO men from Almuñecar and Ogijares are accused of illegally hunting and shooting a mountain goat in the Almijara area.They have been charged with a crime against animal protection, according to the statement released by the Guardia Civil police force.The events took place at a private cottage of the Almijara Mountain range, where the security guard who was on duty in the area reported seeing a man with a shotgun and shortly after hearing two shots.The guard claimed that the suspect and two other men entered a car and rushed away from the scene.After inspecting the area, he found the body of a male mountain goat, which appeared to have been shot, and he alerted the authorities.The two main suspects admitted to being in the area when the incident occurred and three other men are being investigated in connection with the case.
