Bride-to-be dies days after Balearics hen night

Tragedy struck as bride-to-be Emma Egan collapsed and died from a suspected heart attack just days before her wedding after returning from her hen party in Ibiza.

The 30-year-old fiancé of Kerr Brooks from Overtown, Lanarkshire, died on Thursday (May 21) in the apartment they shared after just returning from her hen party in the Balearics.

Emma and Kerr had been due to marry in a ceremony on June 6 after a relationship of 10 years. Family of the 30-year-old accountant Emma, speaking to the Daily Record said: “Mr Brooks was away working when his fiancée returned from the week-long holiday …. he asked Miss Egan’s brother to check on his partner after he couldn’t get hold of her by phone.

Miss Egan’s father Donald told how his son ‘smashed the door in’ at Miss Egan’s property after she failed to answer when he called round. “That’s when he found her, It’s terrible.”

She had been complaining of palpitations before and it looks as if she had a massive heart attack.

Kerr is just devastated. “We were planning a wedding, now we’re planning a funeral.”
