Flaming drug plantation leads to arrest in Almeria

A SQUATTER has been arrested in Almeria after police officers and firefighters were called to put out a fire in the home he was living in and found a marihuana farm inside.
The 35-year-old Spanish man admitted he had been growing the drug inside the property after being tracked down by police investigators.
A call had alerted emergency services of a fire inside a home on Calle Roquetas, in Almeria City, and after putting out the blaze the officers discovered a fully equipped marihuana plantation set up in three rooms of the house.
Equipment, 250 marihuana plants and a pellet gun were confiscated, and investigations confirmed that the fire had been caused by electrical systems that had been tampered with to provide supply to the plantation.
