THE Senior Residents Complex of Almuñecar has undergone major renovations paid for by the town council.“This work was necessary to eliminate humidity and improve safety,” said Senior Citizens’ councillor, Maria del Carmen Reinoso.The project has covered the replacement of the sewage system of the six main buildings, a project that has been carried out by local company CESKA.“In addition, we have already foreseen the launch of a pest control campaign in the areas affected by works,” said the councillor.She added that lifts will be fitted to improve accessibility in four buildings, which is expected to benefit residents in 16 different homes.
