IBERIA registered almost 100,000 users for its first online ticket auction yesterday (May 27).The first tickets to be auctioned were for flights from Madrid to New York, with a starting price of €50. Paris and Rome, with a starting price of €20 per ticket, and Miami starting at €50 were the other three destinations for the 24-hour long auctions.Iberia reported that due to the success of the morning’s bids it decided to put up another four destinations, Boston, Rio de Janeiro, Florence and Prague, in the afternoon and give them a 48 hour bidding period, until 4pm tomorrow (May 29).
