Survey finds brighter outlook amongst agents

GROWING OPTIMISM: Property agents in Spain more confident than a year ago.

THERE’S a growing optimism amongst property agents in Spain, according to a new survey by portal, Kyero.
Their Spanish Property Market Confidence Index for the first quarter of 2015 found 71 per cent of agents reporting they felt more confident about the sector than they did a year ago.
The survey did, however, pick up a divide in outlook between English-speaking and Spanish agents, with the English speakers more likely to feel more confident. They were also much more likely than the Spanish speakers to report increasing property prices.
Thirty per cent of the English-speaking estate agents gave stronger sterling as the main reason for their brighter outlook, while 26 per cent of the native agents put their increased confidence down to their own harder marketing and advertising efforts.
The four provinces where Kyero found the most bullish estate agents were Almeria, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Murcia.
