MOTO GP: Jorge Lorenzo celebrates his first place.

SPANISH Moto GP sensation Jorge Lorenzo was in sensational form with his win at Mugello, Italy, yesterday. For a third consecutive time this year, the 28-year-old crossed the finishing line in first position.
Having dominated from the outset, the real race was for second place, which was taken by local hero, Andrea Iannone, 5.5 seconds after Lorenzo, leaving Italian veteran Rossi in third position. Marc Marquez came in at a disappointing fourth, having crashed with six laps to go.
Lorenzo is now six points behind Rossi in the championship standings.
“I’ve been in this form in the past,” said Lorenzo. “I’ve won three races in a row before but now I want to make it four [Catalunya in a fortnight].”
