EVENTS will be held throughout the week in San Javier to celebrate World Environment Day which is recognised on Friday June 5.There is a range of activities specifically aimed at schoolchildren including a puppet show on Thursday night in the town’s Plaza de España. On Friday, to mark World Environment Day, there is an ecological market in the Plaza de España including entertainment and street parades and tapas served at 1pm before a photography exhibition at 8pm in the town hall entitled ‘For land, for sea, for air.’On Sunday June 7 there is a snorkelling tour at La Manga, open to anyone aged over five, costing €10 per person. There is a limited number of places available so those interested should email medioambiente@sanjavier.es to reserve their place or to find out more.
