NEW lights shine on Almuñecar, as it boasts off the new lighting system paid for by the town Council.From east to west off the Puerta del Mar beach, the new lights reflect on the sand and shore, highlighting the town’s natural beauty.Visitors and locals will be able to enjoy this lighting during the summer season, as well as during special occasions throughout the year.Works have included the set up of two electric lines along the area of Bajos del Altillo, with 400 watts light bulls and the same equipment has been fitted from the Rio Verde bridge towards the west, until the Altillo car park roundabout.Acting Mayor of the Town, Trinidad Herrera Lorente explained that these works were aimed at enhancing the town’s most charming sites and stressed the great work carried out by the Council Urbanism and Public Works Department, lead by Councillor Jose Manuel Fernandez Medina.
