URUS: Likely to be most affordable and popular Lamborghini.
THE new thoroughbred in Lamborghini’s stable has been announced in Rome as the Urus SUV.The crossover model that may debut in 2017 is said to have 600hp and 400kwh and, at 5ft 6 inches (1.68m), the hybrid may be relatively small but will more than match the competition. Although not mentioned by the company, it’s believed that Italy’s government awarded Lamborghini more than €80 million in tax breaks and other incentives. In return, Lamborghini will hire around 500 new employees and invest significantly in expanding its facilities.Intended to take on key rivals including Aston Martin’s planned SUV and Porsche Cayenne, the Urus is likely to be the most affordable model in the Lamborghini line-up.
