RESIDENTS of Palma’s Es Jonquet neighbourhood have expressed their outrage after finding several animals dead in the street.
They claim that several dogs, cats and birds have been found dead, presumably poisoned, in the area of Calle Moli d’en Garleta.
“A few days ago, a neighbour was walking his one-year-old dog when the animal started feeling sick and died within a few minutes in the middle of the street,” said one of the residents. “The owner took the dead animal to a vet’s clinic were it was confirmed that his dog had been poisoned. According to the vet who carried out tests, the poison used cannot be found in regular shops. Consequently, we believe that the poison was put there by a professional.”
