Positively Pink and Blue hold 10k fundraising run

THE Beach Fit Run is a 10-kilometre run in the La Cala de Mijas area in aid of Positively Pink and Positively Blue. The Mijas-based charities have the sole aim of raising the necessary funds to provide education, support and free breast or prostate and testicular screening for British men and women living on the Costa del Sol. Medicare La Cala provide appointments for the screenings.
The run will take place on June 7 and registration will be from 9.30am at the El Oceano Beach Hotel. The cost to take part is €20 per person and includes a pink or blue t-shirt, and all proceeds raised will go directly to the charity and fund free screening appointments.
The organisation said: “With the support of the local town hall and the wonderful team at the foreigners’ department, we have been able to plan a fantastic route for the runners which will be suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.”

The closing date for registering to take part is Friday June 5.
