TORREVIEJA’S summer school has a total of 463 places available for students.
The XI summer school programme, free to children aged from four to 12, will run from 9am-3.30pm in July from 1-31, where 300 places are available, and in August from 3-31 with 163 places.
The programme aims to offer students the chance to experience new activities and workshops within a structured yet fun timetable and with an ‘early bird’ service allowing parents to drop their children off at 8.30am, it aims to facilitate a stronger family life with parents able to continue working.
Councillor for Social Welfare, Tomás Ballester, said for the third consecutive year the summer school would have a theme that revolves around Torrevieja, its history, culture and traditions. In this way, children will look at issues such as fishing, salt and salt handicrafts and the Natural Park of La Mata and Torrevieja, the sea, its people and festivals.
To participate in the summer school, the child must be born between 1999 and 2011 and be registered in Torrevieja. There will be an average of four students to every monitor.
