THE Andalucian Nomads Golfing Society, along with IBEX Insurance, came out to play a fun game of charity golf on a very hot summer afternoon on Thursday June 4. The event was to raise money for the La Cala Diabetics Support Group founded by Anne Bowles in 2003.IBEX Insurance not only sponsored the event but many members of the company joined in the competition, including co-director of IBEX, Richard Hill. The Andalucian Nomads Golfing Society (ANGS) now pride themselves on having 191 members, and they play at Mijas Golf Course every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, so they were well prepared for the big event. There were 14 teams of four that had a staggered tee-off time. The buggies were at the ready and players eager to get to the game. The ANGS and the La Cala Diabetics Support group would like to thank co-directors of IBEX, Richard Hill and Philip Langley, and also business development manager, Paul Hopper, for sponsoring this needy charity. There will be an update on winners and funds raised after the results are announced at Hotel Tamisa Golf after their celebratory dinner.
