Off duty firefighters injured in crash

SIX firefighters from the Andalucian Plan Infoca forest fire fighting and prevention team were injured yesterday (June 3) in a traffic accident.
The group were heading for Torremolinos on their way home from work at the Colmenar Forest Defence Centre when the four-wheel drive they were travelling in overturned after swerving off the A45 road, Infoca sources reported.
Although all six people in the vehicle were injured, they were able to get out themselves and while most of the injuries were not severe, one of the men fractured a bone and will have to undergo surgery.
