VICAR boasts new sports facilities thanks to funds from the Almeria Provincial Council. Mayor Antonio Bonilla welcomed head of the Provincial Council Gabriel Amat and other government representatives to officially open the newly built padel court and the football-7 pitch, already available for all residents of the area to enjoy.The new facilities have a total of 1,750 square metres of artificial grass, and are equipped with a lighting system to allow users to practice sports in the evening hours.“With the creation of these facilities, we wish to bring residents of Vicar closer to sports,” said Mr Amat.The project had a total cost of €420,000, of which €206,000 was paid by the town council.
