First triplets of the year

ELCHE’S General Hospital has welcomed the first set of triplets born in 2015.
Maria Isabel Martinez Cayuelas, from Callosa de Segura gave birth to her three babies in the 34th week of pregnancy after being admitted to hospital with hypertension. She later went on to have a Caesarean where babies Daniel, Maite and Silvia were welcomed in to the world weighing 1,920 grams, 1,490 and 1,710 grams.
The triplets were admitted to the neonatal unit whilst their lungs matured as they were premature, but mother and babies are said to be doing well.
