BRITISH Consul Mrs Sarah-Jane Morris and Vice-Consul Lloyd Milen visited HELP of Denia and Marina Alta at the HELP Activity Centre in La Xara today June 9, welcomed by HELP President Candy Wright and Vice President Catherine Perez Pinto.
They discussed with the consul the assistance and support the charity offers people in need in the Denia and Marina Alta area.
Candy said: “We provide help through equipment hire, translation services and a newly refurbished activity centre for those in need.”
The consul team was delighted by the treatment room. Mrs Morris said: “I can see you are doing an amazing job assisting those who need it.”
Candy explained that HELP offers assistance to any nationality, including a Russian couple who recently needed a wheelchair – as always, HELP was at hand.
Mrs Morris confirmed that a new initiative to brief the Ambassador on the work being carried out by local organisations would improve communication, increasing the numbers of people receiving assistance.
