Local celebrity Roy Mc Donough visited the CDM Orihuela Costa to help celebrate the second annual Football Festival.The free open day was a chance for everyone to come and see the facilties – and to test their football talents.With activities on offer such as 3×3 tournament for all ages, tests of skill – power and speed, bouncy castles, trampolines, music and a raffle for all participants.Everyone attending had the chance to have a photo with a replica Eurpoean Cup.For some of the children this was the first chance to try their football skills. All the activites were controlled by qualified monitors who recorded the result of the test on score cards. At the end of the fiesta all participants’ cards were entered into a raffle. The event was sponsored by Atmosphera Sport Future in Pillar de Horadada who donated some fantastic prizes.Currencies Direct, currency specialists – also donated a sports shop gift card that was won by a very shocked young lad! His delighted mother said that she would use the card to buy him a new pair of football boots.Roy showed the football expertise that led him to play for Birmingham and Colchester amongst other big name clubs – and gave a demonstration of the power speed kick. With a high speed score he proved he has still got what it takes.
