RESIDENTS of Velez-Malaga can now register for sporting activities using a new online service launched by the town council.Concepcion Labao, Councillor for New Technologies, explained that users can access the web on https://reservasdeportivas.velezmalaga.es/, and that the service was launched to offer residents a useful and easy way to book municipal sports facilities and enrol in activities.To register, those interested can visit the Casa del Deporte in Velez-Malaga, the indoor pool offices or Torre del Mar Town Hall, where they will receive a user name and password to gain access to the website.“We want to encourage all citizens of our town who like practising sport to use the new site,” said the councillor, adding: “Each month, there will be 600 hours available for citizens to use sports facilities.”The services that users will be able to benefit from using the website are:– Booking facilities for personal use.– Courses (more than 500 different ones during the summer season until September).– Enrolment on the waiting list for all sorts of activities.– Payment of fees for lessons.– Consulting on free places, and other processes.Labao explained that the bookings can be done monthly, on the 29th of each month, with a total of four hours maximum per day and per user.
