Former British PM to speak at Madrid business summit

FORMER UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown will be speaking at the Management and Business Summit 2015 in Madrid this week.
The two-day event arises from a need for leaders and people holding posts of authority in Spanish businesses to learn from the experiences of international experts on the economy, business management, innovation, marketing, human resources and other related subjects.
Brown, whose time as head of the Treasury in the UK was marked by important changes in monetary and fiscal policies and a sustained investment in the health and education systems and international aid, will be sharing his personal and professional experiences at the summit on June 17. His term at 10 Downing Street coincided with the first quakes of the financial crisis that rocked the world.
He was due to be joined by former Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev but the 84-year-old former soviet leader has been advised by his doctors not to attend due to health problems.
