Gearing up for a great summer

AN EARLY start to summer has got the season going on the Costa, which is raring to go as initial figures hint that already high expectations could be beaten.
The start of June has banished any doubts that this year’s summer will be a good one, and although 2014 will be a hard year to beat as tourism records were broken with more than 10 million visitors, early bookings are making those in the industry think it can be done.
Miguel Sanchez, tourism representative for the CEA Andalucian Businesspeoples’ Confederation, said that between 30 and 40 per cent of Costa hotel beds were already booked for the next two months.
Along with international visitors, who still appear to be attracted to the area, Spanish holidaymakers are expected to start coming back to their beloved Malaga province this summer as so far this year national tourism has shown clear signs of being well on the way to recovery.
