Lope de Vega theatre renovation works kick off

RENOVATION works on Velez-Malaga Lope de Vega theatre have already begun.
The project will have a total budget of €3.4 million, paid by Malaga Provincial Council and the town council.
Works have started with the elimination of its 1,200 old chairs, which will be reduced to a total of 975 for safety reasons, and become one of the theatres with the greatest capacity in the province of Malaga.
“The new theatre will be ready for the celebration of the National Sports Gala, which will be broadcast on national TV and is scheduled to take place in March of 2016,” said Jesus Lupiañez, a council spokesperson.
