Palma Photo 2015 gets underway

THE 11th edition of the photography festival ‘Palma Photo 2015’ will be inaugurated on Thursday, June 11 with a wide variety of exhibitions.
The event is organised by the Galleries and Contemporary Art Association Art Palma, with the participation of several art galleries and exhibition halls such as the CAC of Ses Voltes, Es Baluard, Fundacio Pilar i Juan Miro and the Casal Solleric.
According to the organisers, this year’s festival will feature top-quality pieces and new projects, as well as photographers of national and international relevance, such as Carmela Garcia, Jordi Socias, Anett Stuth, Jean Maria del Moral and Carles Congost amongst others.
Workshops on photography will be held by renowned artists such as Javier Vallhonrat and Carmela Garcia.
Palma Photo has been designed to encourage the young photography talents through the programme Firstfocus, created by Jordi Pallares.
