CEREMONIES in Cartagena commemorating the centenary of the military submarine division have been presided over by King Felipe VI.His visit was the first to the city since becoming king and after arriving at the city’s arsenal, King Felipe visited the military submarine base and academy before witnessing the main ceremony held on the seafront which included a parade by members of the army, navy and Spanish air force.King Felipe was also invited to unveil a commemorative plaque during his visit and was greeted by the hundreds of spectators who had gathered to watch the ceremony.
