Young boy dies at Cordoba water park

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has died today (Monday June 22) at the Aquasierra water park in Villafranca de Cordoba (Cordoba). Authorities believe he may have hit his head and then fallen into the water.
The Emergency Service 112 in Andalucia said that the events took place at around 1.30pm, when witnesses alerted lifeguards the child was unconscious.
Upon their arrival, health care staff could only certify the teenager’s death.
Local Police and Guardia Civil are currently investigating the case to determine the cause of the death.
