Eva Longoria amongst stars to attend Marbella charity weekend

MARBELLA’S Golden Mile will see stars gathering to show their most generous side on July 4-5 for the Global Gift Foundation’s Philanthropic Weekend.
Eva Longoria will be acting as honorary hostess at the weekend’s events, which include a golf tournament at La Quinta, a welcome party at Olivia Valére’s Babilonia restaurant and a gala at Gran Melia Don Pepe hotel including appearances by Chenoa and Taboo from Black Eyed Peas and food served by Michelin chefs Diego Guerrero and Diego del Rio.
Stars who have confirmed their attendance over the weekend include Amaury Nolaso (known for his role in Prison Break), Eva La Rue from CSI Miami, Isabel Gemio and Bertin Osborne along with his wife Fabiola Martinez.
During the gala for 300 guests, exclusive items will be auctioned and awards presented to Padre Angel for his work with Mensajeros de la Paz and Samantha Vallejo-Najera for her philanthropic work.
Funds raised over the weekend will be shared between the Eva Longoria Foundation, the Bertin Osborne Foundation and the Casa Global Gift: a space being created in Marbella to provide shelter and technical and human resources to five local charities.
Since the Global Gift Gala was first held in Marbella six years ago, the foundation estimates that more than €140,000 has been raised and donated to local charity projects.
