Pago de Guerra’s access to be improved

THE Pago de Guerra in la Herradura district of Almuñecar will soon be more accessible to all its residents.
The entrance to this area from the National 340 road will undergo comprehensive renovation works funded by the Provincial Council of Granada together with the Almuñecar Council, with a total cost of €60,292, according to Deputy Mayor of La Herradura, Juan Jose Ruiz Joya.
“Works will include the construction of an 80-metre riprap wall and the extension of the current road from four metres to 5.50 metres, as well as paving work at the entrance,” Mr Ruiz said.
He also explained that these improvements had frequently been requested by residents of the area after strong rains affected the structures.
“We are hoping these works will boost the connections and improve safety on this access road,” he finished.
