PALMA’S Son Sant Joan airport is hosting open-house guided tours to show visitors facilities not usually accessible to the public.
The event, which started on June 29 and lasts until July 9, will offer two different routes. One of them will take place at the airport’s ‘apron,’ the area where planes are parked. Participants will be able to explore one of the two airport fire stations and the runway amongst other locations. This tour will run every afternoon from June 29 to July 3, from 5pm to 7pm, while on Tuesday June 30 and July 2 there will also be places available from 10am to 12pm.
The second tour is more technical in nature and will allow visitors to see for themselves the Airport Coordination Center (CGA) and the Power Point. These visits will take place on July 7 and 9, from 10am to 12pm.
Those interested in participating must contact the External Relations office at 971 789 085 (Monday through Friday, between 8am and 2pm), or send an email to sprensapmi@aena.es.
