A GERMAN consumer of Heinz tomato ketchup found a Heinz promotion website a little too saucy when he linked to it. Using the QR code scan on the back of the bottle he connected to what he thought was a Heinz competition only to see some pornographic images appear instead. The QR code was one used by Heinz and the domain name of the website was originally bought by them for use between 2012 and 2014. However, ownership of the domain name then expired and was taken over by a German adult entertainment website. The ketchup fan was offered a bottle of sauce as compensation.
