Milenium Dos, Trasmediterranea
THROUGHOUT July and August, a second fast ferry will connect Malaga with the Spanish enclave of Melilla in North Africa.Operated by shipping company Trasmediterranea, the ‘Milenium Dos’ catamaran sailed for the first time on Sunday at 7.30pm and will do so every Sunday until the end of August. The return trip is on Friday. When it arrived in Malaga Port, it created a huge wave which caused havoc amongst beachgoers in the Sacaba Beach area.Witnesses report that the wave caused not only towels, chairs and sun umbrellas to be washed away, but many people also lost their personal belongings while parents had to scoop up their children who were playing on the shore.
