AN ELDERLY woman suffered severe injuries on Sunday (June 5) after being run over by a driverless van in Calle Lisboa of Santa Ponça.The events took place at 7pm when a van with a German licence plate began moving downhill, knocking over a street lamp and finally hitting the victim and her husband, who suffered minor injuries.The woman suffered a severe injury to her head and was taking immediately to the Son Espases hospital.The Local Police is currently investigating the case although all evidence indicates that the vehicle’s owner forgot to put the handbrake on.
