SIX Chinese women, who were being held for up to 24 hours a day in apartments in the Mostoles and Alcorcon districts of Madrid, were freed on Monday by National Police after an operation targeting human traffickers. The raid resulted in three suspects being arrested on charges of human trafficking, relating to prostitution, false documentation and crimes against the public tax office. The operation was the culmination of months of police work into the group, which began in January after police discovered an apartment in Mostoles was holding several Chinese female citizens against their will.During a search of the flat, they seized the equivalent of €5,000 in cash in foreign currency, as well as computers, mobile telephones and various documents relating to the current crimes.
