THIRTY stretches on 26 roads in the Balearic Islands have been named accident black spots by the National Traffic Department (DGT).The locations of these dangerous areas have been released on the DGT’S official website. They also announced that surveillance using mobile radars would be intensified with the goal of reducing road accidents.Specifically, in Mallorca there are dangerous stretches on the Ma-3232 Sineu-Sant Joan, the Cap Blank road Ma-6014, the Ma-13 Palma-Inca-Sa and the Ma-3500 Muro-Inca road amongst others.In national terms, the DGT has published a total of 1,500 stretches of secondary roads on which police presence will be reinforced due to their significant rate of accidents.The complete lists of roads where mobile radars will be used can be found at http://www.dgt.es/es/el-trafico/control-de-velocidad/illes-balears/.
