THE new local government of Rincon de la Victoria continue furthering their pre-election commitments amongst which were promoting women’s wellbeing in the town and supporting equality.With this in mind, the new team, made up by the PSOE, Ahora Rincon, Izquierda Unida and Partido Andalucista, has reopened the Municipal Centre for Women’s Information (CMIM), which was closed down back in December, according to the Social Services Councillor, Yolanda Florido.The Council has received aid from the Andalucian Women’s Institute (IAM), an institution that will pay 50 per cent of the services, including a board of experts who will offer psychological counselling, a social worker and a lawyer.Mayor of the Town Encarnacion Anaya (PSOE), explained that besides reopening the centre the town Council will also allocate €75,000 to prevent and solve cases of gender-based violence.
