JUST over four weeks since launching their Freephone number for the English speaking community across Spain, the Samaritans in Spain, founded by Costa Blanca Samaritans, have announced that their call rate has increased by more than 60 per cent on the same month last year.
This is good news for the charity as the message spreads wider with calls from across the whole of Spain and both the Canary Islands and the Balearics, meaning the Samaritans are able to offer support nationwide to those who need them.
The helpline has a range of callers from young adults with problems such as bullying, drugs and exam pressures through to callers of all ages suffering from depression, loneliness, grief, abuse and many other problems.
The Samaritans are proud to have a 24-hour telephone support line across the whole of Spain on Freephone number 900 525 100 for the English speaking community and support for both the English and Spanish speaking communities on its e-mail support line at pat@samaritansinspain.com and can also be found on Facebook.
