THE Mojacar summer school is again providing day care for three to 12-year-olds.
This project endeavours to combine work commitments and family life by providing different ways forchildren to spend their free time during the summer break.
The aim is to promote all-rounddevelopment with sports and cultural activities while helping to cultivate social values and healthy life habits.
In addition to traditional activities like music, there is swimming, sports, dance workshop and traditional games. New disciplines have been included this year, most importantly English.
So far 130 pupils have enrolled in the summer school which has 10 qualified instructors, including an exclusively-dedicated English teacher, a gym instructor, a music teacher and a swimming coach.
Jointly organised by Mojacar town hall and the Almería regional government, the school is open from 10 am until 2 pm.
These hours were chosen to coincide with the morning classroom service that starts at 8 am, provided by the Junta de Andalucía to assist working parents during the school holidays.
